The popular resale platform has revised its sizing categories for female and kids' apparel failing to inform all shoppers about the modification. Online Platforms Backlash Many shoppers and sellers have taken to social media saying Vinted listings now show a different size category versus the original listing as a result of the reclassification. The platform stated the new system was more in line with similar services. The platform has recommended to check their listings and manually change the size when needed, which has left users frustrated. Sizing System Updates Previously, the sizes had both one number and one letter, for instance S/8 or M/10. The new system has a letter and a range like S/UK 8-10. With some products, the size labels have been reassigned - such as a large size was formerly size 12 but is now a UK 16-18. User Accounts Frankie Bridger, who makes TikTok content about plus-size fashion, said the change "makes both selling and buying harder". "Not many brands say XL is a 20-22," as the platform currently indicates. A different member, located in Scotland, said garments she listed on Vinted with size 14 labels were showing in the marketplace as larger sizing 20-22. "If buyers measuring 20-22 acquire them they may become frustrated," she explained. Required Changes Charlotte Lunn, from Derby, said she had been left angered by the change as she had to manually change the measurements for "each individual item".
